i have just sprayed some carb cleaner in the carb and now the engine management light has come on can i reset it without going to nissan.

Hi.. No need to go anywhere near the Nissan dealer itself - You need a code reader/scan tool to enable you to see what codes logged there after delete to see if the fault is perminent or caused by the carb cleaner ingested into the thortle body..you can get small code readers online or even locally auto stores etc...if you dont have one then any local garage rather than the dealer should be able to plug theirs in and clear them..you could try leaving the negative terminal off for a 15mins or so and then reconnect and see if the engine light has gone out..if not then you have no option but to get a code reader or ask a local garage to do it for you...
