Hello, I would be happy to assist you.
Was the bleeding heavy like a period or fairly light?
How many days did it last?
Did you pass any clots or tissue?
When was your last period?
it was heavier than any period iv had and only lasted for 4 days, with just spotting now. and it seemed like i passed a clot. im on the implant so havent had anything for 7 months now
so thats why im a bit concerned
and was wondering what to do
I apologize for the delay.
I was called to the hospital for an emergency delivery.
With the Implanon, you should not have had a positive pregnancy test. However, if the device was recently inserted you may have been pregnant at the time of insertion. Similarly, if the device has been in place 3 years, it may no longer be functioning and you can become pregnant. How long have you had the Implanon?
The Implanon is notorious for causing irregular bleeding. You will not have monthly cycles on this device.
So, if you've had the device for a while, but not even close to 3 years, then your positive pregnancy test must have been an error.
How long have you had the Implanon?
What type of pregnancy test did you use? Did you read it after 5 minutes or longer?
It seems you are no longer responding. I truly do apologize for the delay. If you would like to continue this discussion I will check in again with you in an hour to see if you have responded. I would appreciate continuing our discussion so that you will be satisfied with the site. I am a board certified ob/gyn and will love to give you the answers you seek. Unfortunately, emergencies may cause us to have to run away unexpectedly at times, but it is rare for it to happen twice in one conversation and even more rare for another woman to deliver a baby within 10 minutes of arrival at the hospital in the same day. If you'd like to continue our discussion, I will check back in an hour.
