Customer Question

My daughter is having our first Granchild, she went to the hospital at midnight and they told her that she was only 3 cm and sent her home. Labour pains now are 6 mintues apart and last for about 45 sec. the baby is not moving at all should we get her back to the hospital asap?

Thank you very much

Dr Owen :

Hello

Dr Owen :

Actually since she was already 3cm and there is Less movement - she NEEDS to get to the hospital As soon as possible.

Dr Owen :

and considering she is contracting every 6 minutes now, MORE than likely she is in ACTIVE labor and probably WILL be admitted this time.

Dr Owen :

And, more than likely the baby IS alive, but when you have labor pains, this can detract the mother to be from noticing the movement of the baby -

Dr Owen :

I hope this helps
