Dr Owen :

Hello

Dr Owen :

Did you have a heart beat seen last week?

Dr Owen :

If you are measuring in mm (milimeters ) then you are Earlier than you think

Dr Owen :

because to be 8 weeks - the fetus should measure about 1.6 cm (centimeters) which is about 16mm -

Dr Owen :

so you might still be pregnant and have a viable pregnancy

Dr Owen :

so do not give up hope yet

Dr Owen :

So on average you do not see a heart beat until about 1.0cm (10mm)

Dr Owen :

I wish you well

Customer: Hi again! I been already on 2 scans and doctor said it's 7-8 weeks! But baby is 6.72mm! Is that is normal? Or he made mistake?
Dr Owen :

the fetus should be measuring 1.6cm (16 mm) at 8 weeks - so not this is not normal - I think this is a mistake

Dr Owen :

Hi

Dr Owen :

Are you there?

Dr Owen :

Here is a size chart per week:

Dr Owen :

So at 7 weeks the baby should measure about 9 mm (0.9cm) - so My guess you are more like about 6 to 6 1/2 weeks pregnant -

Dr Owen :

I hope this helps
