Ask a Gynaecologist and Get Answers to Your OB/GYN Questions ASAP
What is your question - are you wondering why you had a period on day 18 of your cycle?
Well it can take a year or more for your periods to normalize - so having a period at 18 days later that usually is not much of a concern.
I would suggest a couple of things to check
1. Get a TSH thyroid blood test as a thyroid problem can cause this.
2. I would also suggest doing a pregnancy test IF you have been sexually active.
IF the TSH blood test and the pregnancy test are normal - then you can leave this alone and do not be concerned as this would be considered normal for a period to occur sooner than expected.
I hope that helps

okay - that is a good thing -
but Honestly get your Thyroid checked with the TSH blood test - as this is a common problem and if you have a thyroid problem this is easily treated with medication such as levothyroxine.
but please do not worry - not a Major concern at all - so please do not be concerned.
Well what you should do then is take Iron and Vitamin C to help the ferritin
Plus you can have your doctor do an injection of Iron Sucrose too to help your low ferritin
yes it is low
so that is why I have suggested what I have for you
just a little low
I would add iron and vitamin C'
That is all you really need - honestly
so do not worry
It can take up to a year
You are welcome
If you have a period 18 days this is a thyroid problem - I think I have said that a few times to get a TSH thyroid blood test to check
