Customer Question

Hello I just noticed a cluster of black spots around my vagina. Are they warts? Ps it cannot be an STD

How old are you?Do the spots look like moles? Thank you.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I am 51
The spots seem a little raised. They look black, a bit like varicose veins (the bigger ones). Or a bit like small moles maybe

They're not warts, which are never black.Black spots such as you mention are not unusual around the vagina, especially as a woman ages. However, malignant melanoma is a serious skin cancer that can cause dark spots in the vaginal area. It's usually a good idea to see your doctor for dark spots. If there is any question, they can be removed and examined with a microscope.Dark spots are rarely or ever the result of an STD.

Ok - slightly freaking out about that latter possibility, but looks like bruises maybe. Or even varicose veins? Some are spots some are more like lines. I am looking for some reassurance here?

Most black spots are benign, not cancer. The ones that look like lines may be blood vessels and are unlikely to be cancer.I've seen lots of black spots and only rarely have I seen melanoma. I wouldn't worry, but I would check them out.Thank you for your payment and rating.
