I am 44 years old and have been some form of contraception

Customer Question

I am 44 years old and have been some form of contraception since I was 18. I now have a mirena coil (the second one to date) and have no periods or obvious menstrual cycle. I suffer from chronic migraines (no obvious triggers and definitely menstrual too) and although I have at least 10 years before menopause, I don't really have knowledge of my natural hormonal levels or cycle to gauge its effects. I am considering tubal ligation and would like some advice on its pros and cons and its long term effects heading into my 50s and with regards ***** ***** migraines. Thank you for any assistance you can give me.

Hi, I am privileged to help you get more understanding about your current concern. I can also provide you with additional services, such as live telephone or Skype consultation, at a small additional cost. Let me know if you are interested.

A few questions first to clarify your concern:

1. How old were you when you first started having migraines?

2. Are you taking any medication for the migraines? If so name & dose? Does medication help?

3. DO you have triggers with your migraines?

4. Are you certain you no longer want to have any more naturally conceived children?
