I have a Siemens Gigaset telephone system in my house consisting of a N300A IP base unit and four S79H units. Two of the units are working ok but the other two appear to be faulty. They appear to be working ok for a short time and they seem to switch of for a few moments and then come back on, during this time they retain the time etc memory. If I answer a call on either of them they immediately go dead. Can you help please.

Hello & Welcome to Just Answer, Sorry to hear of the issue you are having with these two handsets. To help you better, may I ask:1) The AGE of this system?2) Have the batteries in the handsets EVER been replaced (since new)?3) IF the batteries have been replaced, WHEN was this last done? I ask these questions because it "sounds like" the batteries in these two handsets are about "worn out" and need to be replaced with new rechargeable batteries of the same type and capacity. You should be able to get these batteries at almost any location that carries cordless phones.Also, you may want to consider replacing ALL of the handset batteries IF they are more than about 2 years old, as that is about the normal "reliable" lifetime of batteries like this. And when changing the batteries, it is always a good idea to check and clean the contacts, both inside the handsets and at the charging contacts - on the outside of the handset AND the charging stands. I usually use a bit of alcohol and a clean lint free cloth to do the cleaning. Please let me know what you find or if you have any more questions. Cheers, ***** *****
