Dr. David :

This is Dr. David

Dr. David :

the bleeding could have been your period.

Dr. David :

chances of pregnancy are small, but not zero.

Dr. David :

the best time to do a home pregnancy test is if you miss your next period

JACUSTOMER-82oa7yfg- :

I didn't finish the pack? I stopped taking it. Theres about 8 pills left in pack?

Dr. David :

I see.

Dr. David :

I would go back on the birth control pills.

JACUSTOMER-82oa7yfg- :

So the bleeding could have been my period?

Dr. David :

yes, the bleeding could have been your period.

Dr. David :

but if you have been sexually active, you should see a gyn doctor and get routine gyn exams.

Dr. David :

have you ever had a gyn examination before?

JACUSTOMER-82oa7yfg- :

Yes I have. What would this have done?

Dr. David :

your regular period could do this.

Dr. David :

sometimes infections can cause break through bleeding.

Dr. David :

or prior trauma to the cervix from sex can cause bleeding as well.

JACUSTOMER-82oa7yfg- :

Ok. So even after missing so many pills its only a small chance of pregnancy? I was sexually active before and during bleeding.

JACUSTOMER-82oa7yfg- :

??

Dr. David :

sorry.

Dr. David :

yes, even if missing pilss

Dr. David :

pills

Dr. David :

and if you had sex during the time of the break though bleeding, most likely you are not pregnant.

Dr. David :

but you have to see if you have your next period, if you miss your next period you can use a home pregnancy test.

Dr. David :

or you can see a doctor in 2-3 weeks and get blood testing to check sooner to see if you are pregnant.

Dr. David :

but chances are low.

JACUSTOMER-82oa7yfg- :

Great. Thank you. When should I start back on the pill?

Dr. David :

I would start a new pack now that your bleeding has stopped.

JACUSTOMER-82oa7yfg- :

Great thank you.

Dr. David :

you are welcome

Dr. David :
