This is Dr. David

scabs on the ear which continue to bleed can be a sign of skin cancer

skin cancer on the ears are common

ears can be exposed to a lot of sun exposure

and skin cancers like basal cell cancer and squamous cell cancers can often bleed

you need to see a dermatologist and get a skin biopsy of your ear to see if this is indeed skin cancer or not.

you can put neosporin on it but it will not stop the bleeding.

if it is skin cancer, you have options for surgery or radiation therapy to kill the skin cancer without surgery.

usually on the ears, radiation is better than surgery because it causes less cosmetic changes of the ear and doesn't need plastic surgery repair.

do see a dermatologist right away to get a skin biospy to check for skin cancer
