Resolved Question:

Hi, these past few months i have been feeling run own, like my body is fighting an infection. About 4 weeks ago i got large swelling on both of my armpits, they werent painfull nor was there any sort of mass there, however she did feel my lymph nodes were
inflammed, she thought i was coming down with an infection. 2 weeks before hand i was rushed into my local hospital as i had chest pain and was very breathless, thankfully wasnt a heart attack but what they did find was my heart was slightly enlarged. I was
at my GP today today as my armpits are still swollen and i now had a bark of a cough and still feeling rubbish, i have been diagnosed with hidradentitis suppurativa, but as i have investigated and searched the internet i feel this diagnoses is wrong as i dont
have the symptomology of this disease. I am also having itchiness and sweating all the time and recurrent fevers and seem to get ever infection under the sun, i am really tired now Any ideas......i do have ideas of my own of what my body is fighting, hence
why i clicked your speciality.....please tell me i am barking up the wrong tree

This is Dr. Davidyou should get blood testing to check for mononucleosis viral infection with ebstein barr virus which can cause enlarged lymph nodes and fatigue.you should get your thyroid hormone levels to see if your thyroid hormone levels are normal or not. these would include TSH, T3 and T4 levels.you could have had a panic attack the other day with chest painsor that could have been from bad acid reflux.

Thanks for your reply Dr David. I will bet those checked out. Panic attacks does not seem plausible as i do yoga/meditate 5 times a week! :) although it has been a struggle with this. Its probable acid reflux but i dont see how, i am extremely stricted with myself on what, when and how i eat
