Dr. Yogindra Vasavada :

Hello, If the hair is fairly thick and curly, you need to consult a pediatric endocrinologist.

Dr. Yogindra Vasavada :

She might be having abnormal sex hormone secretion from some gland and needs work-up.

How exactly can I find out what it is? What test would the endocrinologist need to do. When you say abnormal sex hormone and needs to work up- what do you mean. What does 'work up' mean?

Also is there anything I can do naturally to combat this if it's hormone imbalance.
Expert:  Dr. Y. Vasavada replied 3 years ago.
Work up means urine test of hormone metabolites, Ultrasound scan of abdomen, pelvis and blood tests for hormone levels especially adrenal and sex hormones.
