Hi..

Hopefully i can help..

What yearis the vehicle or VIN number?

Has this been a sudden fault or one thats been a problem for a while intermittent as such?

Any warnings on the message screen/dash since this stopped?

What checks if any has the garage made/covered up to now?

Customer: replied 2 years ago.

Hi..there thanks for your responce..

Ok..yes these 207's do have electronic steering - the steering motor/ecu is part of the steering rack as whole assembly - normally when a fault like this crops up it can usually be down the motor itself on the steering rack.ecu's normally dont have alot of problems - or the later a fault with steering angle sensor..have you inspected the fuses or has the garage already.. ones to check are within the engine bay fuse panel/box = Fuse 7 (10amp) & a maxi fuse mf10 (80amp) certainly have these checked out first..aswell as inspection of the charging system "as the electric steering will rely heavily on the alternator/battery working effectively aswell as checking the wiring harness/connectors to the steering motor/control unit - further to that the next stage is to get it on a diagnostic machine specific for peugoet "peugeot planet" to se if that can retrive info on whats gone wrong..if the PS warning light is on then there should be codes and only specific diagnostic equipment will be able to retrive those..id imgaine they only check the main ecu and not the steering control unit itself..so that the way forward as above..i do hope this helps..if you require to ask anything further then please do so before you rate
