Ihave a siemens gigaset c45 which I am using on voipwise a message came up saying sip registration failed I do not have any instructions and went through menu don't know what I have done but now showing please register is there any way you can help or do I need new phone

when you say a message came up, do you mean it was showing on the gigaset display? Or it was an audible message you heard (instead of a dial tone) when attempting to place a call?

Nathan :

I'm assuming this is an audible message or one on your computer, as I don't believe this gigaset model can interface directly with a voip service, so I assume you're using a VOIP interface box (which connects to your modem/router, and to which the base station of the gigaset connects via telephone cord)

Nathan :

If that is the case, then the issue isn't with the gigaset itself, and would in fact persist even with a basic corded telephone handset. The issue there would be the registration of the voip/sip dev, which may have been somehow reset, lost it's internet connection, is faulty, etc

Nathan :

what you'll need to do is get into the configuration menu for your voip device, and confirm the proper settings there:

Okay. Unfortunately I do not have an answer for you then. To my knowledge the C45 model works via a pstn connection only, so unless you have registered it to a different model seimens base station with IP capability, or are using a voip device, which would be causing this issue, I cannot see how this was ever working to begin with.
