Sorry I didn't see your question earlier and to hear of the issue with the phone.

May I ask:
1) Can you still make OUTGOING calls using the Panasonic system?
2) Do you have ANY other devices (phones, fax, security sytems, etc.) connected to the same phone line?
3) What phone service provider (phone company) do you have for this phone line?
