Customer Question

Panasonic kxtgh222 duo in cottage thick walls. Thus have old Panasonic upstairs as a quad system has trouble going through or around thick walls. Trouble if answer phone downstairs and need to go upstairs to computer, signal lost. If I got two extra sets for upstairs, base and extra, could I open phone upstairs and continue conversation or not because again using two bases. What to do? Any way to use all four phones with one base given thick walls. Rowlie

Hello, I’m Nathan, and I’ll be assisting you today. My livelihood depends on your positive feedback, so your satisfaction is my highest priority. Sorry to hear you’re having trouble. Adding another system wouldn't improve your situation over what you have now, as you can only have 1 base station per system (handsets can only be registered to and communicate with one base, they don't switch over to another). What you could do however is to add an "extender" or range booster to the existing system, which should help. Here is the item you'd want to purchase: http://amzn.to/1FpPwlF

Could I just add two extra hand sets to work off the base downstairs or will I still have my problem and require a booster?

You can certainly add additional handsets to your existing system. However, if the current handsets die out when you get upstairs, then extra ones would do the same. Adding the booster in between would help with that though.http://amzn.to/1VhM1iQ
