Plumberpro :

Hi . there is no reset button . you have to bturn the power off for a minute the back on .

Customer:

i already tried that, no ignition

Plumberpro :

Hi . what is the pressure gauge reading in bars

Customer:

its low, in fact nothing now

Plumberpro :

Ok . it should be around 1.2 . if its below 1 the boiler won't work

Customer:

how do i get it up

Plumberpro :

Is there a flexi hose under the boiler with a plastic tap on one end

Customer:

no

Plumberpro :

Ok , then you may have a built in one . look under the boiler there is a place to put a plastic key with 2 prints that once pushed in a

Customer:

there is a flexi pipe but no tap. there is a red dial that says bar 3 on it, i have turned it and the boiler seems to have water running through, i can hear it

Plumberpro :

Allows the water to cross and fill . the key might already be in it

Customer:

its still filling

Plumberpro :

The red tap is the safety valve . you just released all the water out side. It now has to be filled up again. Has the flexi hose got a valve with a slot in it?

Customer:

no movement on the bar dial yet though

Plumberpro :

That's the safety valve , you just released the system water outside

Customer:

oh is that wrong? how do i stop the water running

Customer:

theres nothing on or near the flexi pipe

Plumberpro :

Thee safety valve should close itself back up . its on a spring loaded cap

Customer:

do you know how long that takes?

Customer:

then im still back at square one

Plumberpro :

Once you let go it should stop immediately, however you can check outside to see if has stopped running out the safety pipe

Customer:

ok its stopped running outside but still hear it inside

Plumberpro :

What is the pressure at ?

Customer:

no bars at all

Customer:

zero

Plumberpro :

Ok .we need to fill the boiler up and repressurise. You said there was a flexi hose under the boiler . are there any type of valve /tap on each end?

Customer:

yes

Customer:

the one on the right has a blue dot in the middle of a nut

Plumberpro :

Ok the taps need to be opened , but once they are keep an eye on the pressure and take it up to 1.5

Customer:

ok can hear it hissing but bar not moved, should i keep on

Plumberpro :

Yes keep going

Customer:

its moving, up to one bar now

Plumberpro :

Great

Customer:

ok up to just under 2 bars

Plumberpro :

That's enough , stop

Customer:

stopped

Plumberpro :

Ok . try to see if the boiler will work now

Customer:

ok if i switch it off at the mains and back on again will it ignite now?

Plumberpro :

It all depends , the pressure should be up , but that might not have been the total reason the boilkewr wasn't running

Customer:

no its not ignited

Plumberpro :

Ok . does it sound like the boiler is trying to light? Can you hear the fan running / pump running?

Customer:

yes i can hear it and feel it

Plumberpro :

Can you hear it trying to light?

Plumberpro :

Tell me exactly what you can hear

Customer:

cant hear it trying to ignite anymore

Plumberpro :

Ok . it is most likely the fan . the fan runs and operates the air pressure switch which starts ignition. Replace the fan , its fairly easy to change. At the same to me replace the air pressure switch

Customer:

ok thankyou, i didnt do so bad for an old lady with a budgie did i

Plumberpro :

I hope the budgie was good and helped you , best regards, ***** ***** forget to rate. , Toby
