Hi there,we recently moved into a bungalow, the hot water tank

Resolved Question:

Hi there,we recently moved into a bungalow, the hot water tank is 162 litres and has 2 immersion heaters, the tank is very old (like me) there is a tank in the roof space. Can I change the hot water tank for a smaller one with one Emerson. Also the hot water pressure is not very good would it help to raise the new tank of the floor.thanks

Plumberpro :

Hi yes you could replace it with a smaller tank

Plumberpro :

Raising the tank would definitely increase the pressure. Every Meter of height gives an increase of 0.1 bar. If you really wanted high pressure then you could get an uvented tank which is a hot water tank that runs off the mains instead of cold water storage tank .
