Brian I am swapping the radiator in the bathroom to a towel

Resolved Question:

Hi Brian
I am swapping the radiator in the bathroom to a towel rad. this will mean cutting the pipes and running them to the new rad. Will I have to drain the sytem I have a worcester bosch 24 cdi. I am also going to fit new sink and bath as well which also run of the combi. Regards Neil

Hi Noel . Yes you will have to drain down. If you had a boiler that used a header tank you could have bunged it to create a vacuum .Put some inhibitor in the top of the towel rail before filling back up.

What I normally do is turn the new rad valves off , fill up , check the pipework for leaks , then bleed the towel rail
