I'm sorry, finally, I see your reply. Have you gone to the printer's screen and go through the setup/menu there and connect the printer to Wi-Fi/wireless first? (The security key/password XXXXX XXXXX the bottom of the bt hub.)

i have ethernet but on the epson its a strange connector so i dont

The printer also has a USB port; if you do not see an Ethernet port (like on the computer) that fits the ethernet cable, then the printer does not have an Ethernet port.

In this case, can you please borrow a laptop (windows laptop), and get/borrow a USB printer cable (we need it temporarily), then I can connect to that laptop with you and help setting up Wi-Fi/wireless on the printer, then it will print on the iPad.
