My Cannon Pixma MP495 keeps giving me error code E03 saying

My Cannon Pixma MP495 keeps giving me error code E03 saying there is paper jam when there is no paper jam.

Please turn off the printer, unplug all its cables and wait for two minutes.

It started printing, the paper moved down a little, then it stopped saying: REMOVE PAPER JAM. Exactly as before. But there is no paper jam.

I have looked every where and there is no paper jam, not even a tiny piece! I have a feeling the thing that rolls the papers has a problem.

It is open. Unless you mean something else?

The error may occur because of two reasons.

Shefin :

Either Output tray is open, or a paper jam.

Shefin :

Are you sure that there is no foreign objects inside?

Shefin :

Check again that if there is any issue with the roller.

Sorry, you are not being very helpful. I wouldn't be looking for your assistance if I had not checked my printer out. It has not worked for 10 days! Check the internet - lots of the same complaints about this particular printer.

Please be informed that, if anything happens to the roller, that feeds the printer, you will get the same error.

Shefin :

Or any foreign objects inside the roller.

Have you checked the paper roller too?

How am I supposed to know if there is an issue with the roller? It starts making the printing noise, then sudden it stops, saying there is paper jam.

We will try cleaning the rollers.

Shefin :

Make sure that the power is turned on, and remove any paper from the Rear Tray.

Shefin :

Open the Paper Output Tray gently, and open the Output Tray Extension.

Shefin :

Clean the Paper Feed Roller without paper.

Shefin :

Press the (Maintenance) button repeatedly until b appears.

Shefin :

Press the <Black> or <Color> button.

Shefin :

The Paper Feed Roller will rotate as it is cleaned.

Where will the b appear? All I can see flashing is E 0 2

Please restart the printer.

Then, follow the instructions.

I have restarted the printer.

Press the (Maintenance) button repeatedly until b appears.

Press the <Black> or <Color> button.

Nothing is showing there now - just a _ light bar going up and down.
