At first the printer was no longer flashing orange but now after 15 minutes it has started again.

Expert:  Richard replied 3 years ago.
Ok, that is a pity, but confirms the problem

The error code 5200 means that the print head and the logic board of the printer are both faulty and will need to be replaced.

It is suggested to first replace the print head, which can be purchased here:

http://www.amazon.com/Canon-QY6-0049-iP4000-MP780-MP750/dp/B000700K0S before replacing the logic board, as only the print head may need replacing.

If need be the logic board can be purchased here:

http://www.beckscrs.com/partDetail.php?productID=part165

Directions on how to replace these parts can be found here:

http://timtaylor.net/tech/iP4000%20Service%20Manual.pdf starting on page 13.

Of course, if the printer is still under warranty, this would be covered, and you would return the printer to have this done at no charge.

If you would like any additional information or assistance, please do not hesitate to let me know.

And if you can take a second to rate my service, that would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you
