Thank you for your question, my name is XXXXX XXXXX I look forward to assisting you.

Please note, click on Reply to Expert to reply to me, a rating is only needed when we are finished.

When you put the disk in, it should then start the installation.

If it has not, go to Finder, and click on the Disk drive to start it.

Then run the installation, which installs the printer.

Once it has completed, click on the Apple Icon in the top left and click System Preferences.

Click on Printers.

Click on the + Symbol and you will see the Pixma in the list.

Click on it so that it is added as a printer, and you can then print to it.

If you have any problems, or would like any additional information or assistance, please do not hesitate to let me know.

And if you can take a second to rate my service, that would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

HI Richard,

Sorry the disk does not start the installation. I have gone to Finder but cannot find the disk drive to start it?

Expert:  Richard replied 2 years ago.
Can I log on and look please on the connected computer?

It is easier to work with you on this. You can see and control everything I do

Can you please click on my link below.

http://download.teamviewer.com/download/TeamViewer.dmg

This will download a program to your computer.

Run this program by double clicking it.

You will then see an ID and Password.

Please send that to me in your next message.

Do not close the program, please leave it open.

Make sure to seperate the code numbers with a space eg: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9

Thank you

Hi Richard,

I discovered it was the fault of the computer. My computer was only a 10.5.8 and I needed a 10.6.6. at the least. Have sent away for the update which has still to arrive. Thank you for all your help, you were very patient.

Customer: replied 2 years ago.
Hi, Richard,
Thank you for all the advice you gave me and for your patience.
I eventually discovered that my computer was notcompatible with the printer. I only had a 10.5.8 Apple when I needed a 10.6.6 minimum.
I have now sent away for the necessary upgrade. Thank you once again.
