JACUSTOMER-un1jpkh1- :

what is the problem please

Michelle :

are we ready

JACUSTOMER-un1jpkh1- :

yes

Michelle :

Unplug the power cable from the printer end

JACUSTOMER-un1jpkh1- :

Michelle :

check any other electrical device on the same wall socket to make sure it has good power and the wall socket it good

JACUSTOMER-un1jpkh1- :

allgood

Michelle :

you have tested some other unit apart from this printer, am i correct.

JACUSTOMER-un1jpkh1- :

yes

Michelle :

okay

Michelle :

the printer has a direct power cable or it has a power adapter with a black box

JACUSTOMER-un1jpkh1- :

direct

Michelle :

did you check the cable for any damage

Michelle :

or cut on it

JACUSTOMER-un1jpkh1- :

Ihave tryde a diferent cabel

Michelle :

okay

Michelle :

now as the printer is disconnected try to keep the power button pressed and hold it down for 30 to 40 seconds without connecting the power cable

JACUSTOMER-un1jpkh1- :

Michelle :

still no power on light

Michelle :

how old is the printer?

Michelle :

was there any power outage or any lightning storm in your area recently

JACUSTOMER-un1jpkh1- :

about 4 yr

Michelle :

alright

Michelle :

and what about my last question

JACUSTOMER-un1jpkh1- :

no storms

Michelle :

The printer seems to be having a power supply unit problem inside which is basically not a user replaceable unit or we cannot just open it and replace a fuse as it doesnt come up with a fuse protector.

JACUSTOMER-un1jpkh1- :

could it be a faulty switch

Michelle :

its call smps (swithing mode power supply) that dont have a fuse to be replaced in this case you will have to get the printer either repaired by a printer technician or check the repair price first.

Michelle :

if the repair printer is more the 80 pounds i believe you can get a good new printer in 120 pounds

Michelle :

let me know if you have any question.

JACUSTOMER-un1jpkh1- :

looks like a new machine

Michelle :

If you try to spend this machine it will actually waste your time as well as money. Repair tech will ask for 50pounds for service and parts will be extra however if you calculate the price will be close to brand new printer so my suggestion to you would be a new printer that will come up with one year full warrant and a new set of ink cartridges.

Michelle :

consider a laser printer as it ends long lime and there is no point of head clogging or dried ink cartridges.

JACUSTOMER-un1jpkh1- :

ok
