Michelle :

let me know when you are online so that i can suggest you more steps to follow and can get this fixed.

Customer:

i am online now

Michelle :

did you check the printer for paper jam inside

Customer:

yes

Michelle :

did you find any paper or any other object inside

Michelle :

There would be some piece of paper, clips, paper sticker or something which might be stuck inside the printer and you are not able to access it. In that case you need to remove all ink cartridges, turn off printer.

Michelle :

use a flash light to check inside for any kind of jam

Customer:

i will try

Michelle :

take you time and let me know

Customer:

icant see anything stuck inside printer now says fault e-03

Michelle :

how old is the printer

Customer:

2 to 3 years

Michelle :

E03 means "Paper Output Tray is closed./Paper jam"

If the Paper Output Tray is closed, open it. The machine resumes printing.

If opening the Paper Output Tray does not resolve the problem, or if the tray was open to begin with, the paper may be jammed.Remove the jammed paper, reload paper properly in the printer, then press the Black or Color button

Michelle :

If no luck, please check using a flashlight, to ensure there is nothing obstructing the paper feed mechanism down inside the printer where it is not easily seen. If there is nothing obvious, un-plug the printer power supply.

Next, take a dry cloth or Q-tips and clean the rubber rollers in the automatic sheet feeder. Dust may be coating the rollers there and as they become less tacky, they cannot feed paper correctly.

Michelle :

Holding the printer in both hands (you may need another person to help you) , turn it upside down and shake it for a few seconds to see if anything falls out of the paper feed area. (Sometimes objects such as pens, paper clips and so on can fall into the paper feed area and cause blockages.)

Then plug the printer back up, take your paper out and replace it with a fresh, small stack (about 5 pages) of paper. Then try to print again.

Michelle :

If no luck, remove all paper from the machine and then blow out the feed roller and paper tray thoroughly with compressed air three or four times.

Once done plug in back in and insert a single sheet of paper.

Customer:

i will give it a try

Michelle :

let me know if it works

Customer:

just need to try and print, how can i do it without leavin page

Michelle :

you can open any doc and print.

Michelle :

the chat will be at the background and you dont have to close this session

Michelle :

you can click on the icon sitting at the bottom of your screen.

Customer:

i have done all you have asked, but fault e-04 still exists

Michelle :

if the fault still continues that means there is a problem with the paper feed and exit sensor.

Michelle :

how old is the printer.

Michelle :

if its under warranty you will get a free replacement or repair of the printer.

Customer:

3 years

Michelle :

and if its out of warranty then you will need to get the printer repaired

Customer:

ok thanks for trying

Michelle :

The error is triggered by the paper sensor either there is a paper piece of foreign object deep inside the printer or one of the paper sensor is bad.

Michelle :

you would need the printer to be taken to a repair shop.

Michelle :

let me know if you need any more info.

Customer:

i will take it for repair.thanks for your help

Michelle :

i am sorry but i tried my best to fix it unfortunately it has a hardware problem which needs a repair.
