Please make clear the maker and the model # ***** your printer. It might be a Samsung printer, perhaps, but I can't be sure, since the model # ***** quote is not quite that of any printer.

When a toner cartridge is completely empty, 'TONER EMPTY' appears on the display.

As for checking toner level, that would depend upon what type of computer you have, a Windows PC, or an Apple computer. Let me know, please. Thanks.

sorry for delayed response. i have had other issues to deal with!

the printer is connected to an Mac Mini - my first Apple device; so i am still learning - slowly! e.g. i a cannot find any reference to Printers in the applications or accessories section.

i look forward to your problem-solving answer.

Go to
System Preferences
then to Print & Fax,
select the printer,
click on Options & Supplies…
and select the Supply Levels tab or something similar.
