VanMagnus Systems :

Hello and thank you for choosing JA for your IT support needs.

VanMagnus Systems :

When did this first happen and what was your printer doing when it did occur? What Operating System are yu using?

VanMagnus Systems :

Also, is it connected to the PC or on the Network?

VanMagnus Systems :

Chime in when ready.

JACUSTOMER-cwxdkgvm- :

VanMagnus Systems :

Hi.

VanMagnus Systems :

JACUSTOMER-cwxdkgvm- :

thanks windows 7

VanMagnus Systems :

Ok...

VanMagnus Systems :

Do you know how to look at your Print Queue?

JACUSTOMER-cwxdkgvm- :

yes the print queue was very long

VanMagnus Systems :

??? Sorry, clarify please? You mean there are jobs in the Print Queue???

JACUSTOMER-cwxdkgvm- :

yes lots

VanMagnus Systems :

Ok...

VanMagnus Systems :

That is the issue.

VanMagnus Systems :

Please right click on each job and cancel them all.

VanMagnus Systems :

Also, please shut your printer off.

VanMagnus Systems :

For 5 minutes and turn it back on...

VanMagnus Systems :

Open Printers by clicking the Start button

  1. clicking Control Panel, clicking Hardware and Sound, and then clickingPrinters.

  2. To open the print queue, double-click the printer you are using.

  3. Click the Printer menu, and then click Cancel All Documents. Depending on the printer, the item currently printing might finish, but the remaining items will be cancelled.

JACUSTOMER-cwxdkgvm- :

ok will try that and hope it works, if not will you still be able to help

VanMagnus Systems :

VanMagnus Systems :

Please delete all that in the Print Queue and reboot the PC.

VanMagnus Systems :

Also, restart the Printer again.

VanMagnus Systems :

Your going to have to reboot. So Chime in if I am needed...

JACUSTOMER-cwxdkgvm- :

followed your instructions but printer still not working. When I press page review for printing the last page I printed still comes up and am not able to delete it and not able to print anything else

VanMagnus Systems :

Yes there is. I will be back in 30 with another option go try.

VanMagnus Systems :

Ok, I am back...

VanMagnus Systems :

Now you have Windows 7, so what I want you to do is uninstall the Printers Drivers for the Printer.

VanMagnus Systems :

You can remove print drivers that are not associated with a local printer or connection using the printui.exe tool

in an admin elevated command prompt type

printui /s /t2

Be sure to remove the driver AND the package.

VanMagnus Systems :

Then reboot the PC.

VanMagnus Systems :

Next:

VanMagnus Systems :

I want you to do a partial reset of your Printer.

VanMagnus Systems :

VanMagnus Systems :

Video posted for you to walk you through it.

VanMagnus Systems :

Go to the HP site and get the latest Drivers for your Printer.

Link to the download page:

VanMagnus Systems :

VanMagnus Systems :

Then, your Printer should now work.

VanMagnus Systems :

Chime in after completing the steps above Sir or Ma'am...

JACUSTOMER-cwxdkgvm- :

I did not get all the information last night as I had to go out. Could you repeat the rest of the instructions please

JACUSTOMER-cwxdkgvm- :
