Just bought Pixma MG3500. Very poor hazy photo prints from

Resolved Question:

Just bought Pixma MG3500. Very poor hazy photo prints from desktop print and from sd card. When I copy and paste the same photo into word 2010 the quality is good. What is the problem and can I fix it. Thanks.

You state that if you print "from desktop print" they are hazy; however, if you print from Word 2010, they are not.
Please, explain.

If I open a word document and copy and paste the photo from either a desktop folder or from SD card the result is OK.
