Can you please try making a photocopy, from the glass, in both color and in black only modes, and see if you have the issue there as well?

Okay, if you are positive both black and color copies are ok, then this is an issue with the computer (software/application) or the drivers.
First go to your control panel / devices&printers folder, right click the epson then Remove Device.
Then go to http://esupport.epson-europe.com/ProductHome.aspx?lng=en-GB&data=VkjUmbBFNN2ZKdYyOZpLpHq23IfbgWtoBGCtoZ7Mu74U003D&tc=6
where you'll download and install version of the epson software/drivers.
