I have an EPS C315 printer

I have an EPS C315 printer the display shows Printhead carriage jam . there is no obstruction . I have followed the instructions with no result

Hi, My name is ***** ***** i will be assisting you

please try the below steps

Michelle :

please remove the cartridge and turn off the unit....unplug the power cable
now manually slide the carriage assembly\ printhead back and forth
also clean the rail against which the assembly slides with a tissue ensuring that there is no ink residue on it
clean the golden contacts of the cartridges and the printhead with a cotton swab dipped in little alcohol
Now check the paper feed tray, roller assembly area and the area where the carriage moved for any stuck obstruction like paper, paper clips, pins etc and if found remove it.
once done turn the unit back on and check

if still the error repeats try the below

turn off unit and unplug power cord..keep the ON button on printer pressed for 10 secs

wait for 2 mins and then turn on unit and check

This is of no help as the cartridge assembly is jammed to the right underneath the control panel. please advise

turn off printer and manually try to slide the carriage to and fro

Michelle :

does it move freely or seems to be stuck at one end

also have a look beneath the carriage

do you see a plastic tab thats spring loaded...if yes pull it towards yourself so that its not stuck

after that check by turning on printer
