MY PRINTER IS PRODUCING ITEM I PRINT A SHEET DETAILING WHAT HAS BEEN PRINTEDWITH DATE TIME AND NUMBER OF COPIES.THIS HAS ONLY JUST DEVELOPED AND IS VERY WASTEFUL OF PAPER APART FROM COST. I HAVE HAD THE PRINTER A YEAR AND IT HAS NOT DONE THIS BEFORE .THE ONLY THING THAT HAS OCCURRED RECENTLY IS AN UPDATE OF THE LAPTOP PROGRAMME TO MICROSOFT WINDOWS 7 FOLLOWING A REPAIR OF A FAULT THAT DEVELOPED STOPPING THE LAPTOP WORKING
CAN YOU TELL ME HOW TO STOP THIS ACTIOVITY PLEASE

I need to knw what version of Windows 7 do you have? But to go into some steps t take right now:

  1. Open Printers by clicking the Start button , clicking Control Panel, clicking Hardware and Sound, and then clicking Printers.




  2. Right-click the printer that you want to remove, and then click Delete.


    If you can't delete the printer, right-click it again, click Run as administrator, and then click Delete. If you are prompted administrator password ***** confirmation, type the password ***** provide confirmation.

Then after you remove the Printer from the PC, you must Reboot the PC.

This is to get the latest Version of the Driver Software from Canon.

Then after you have installed the newest drivers.

Then reboot....

Your issue is Sir or Madame, is that due to the Windows update. Your drivers were corrupted due to the Windows update.

OK, but please note:
I instructed you to use the Web Site VS the installation Disk. The Web Site is up to date where as most disks are a few months to a year or so behind the Web Site. Just file that away future....
