I have a Canon Pixma MG5650 printer.....which, try as i might, I can't get to work. The printer is brand new! I can only get the printer to scan.

I suspect that if your printer can make a photocopy, but cannot print, but can scan, that you have a defective printer. If so, you should return it to the store promptly, packed up in its original packaging, as defective-from-store, and get another equivalent working device on exchange.

But if you wish to make a further effort (aside from testing the printing hardware in the printer by doing one photocopy), just let me know just how the printer is not working, and what your computer is like, please. Thanks.

I am able to print photos now. But I still cannot copy eMails, nor things I get from Google.....like poems....I still want to copy printing so that I can send copies to my friends. I find the whole lay-out of the printer as difficult to follow.

I have an iMac, desk version, about one and a half years old. It is a 27 inch model.

There is clearly nothing wrong with the printer; in any case I have had it since November and the time has run out.....also the original packing!

I would be grateful if you can give me some clues as to why it refuses to print. Kind regards. Dennis Pegg

Do you mean you are able to print photos from the computer, but you cannot print emails or web pages, etc. from the computer?

Is there any error or message when printing?

So how old is the printer, again?

What is the MAC OS X version on your computer? go to the apple menu, and choose
About This Mac
and tell me the 10.X version there.

Thank you. The answers are: No. Not since the new printer. I can print photos, but not the eMails nor web pages,etc., from the computer. Sometimes there is a display on the small screen of the printer: "there is an error". The computer is connected with a USB cable, although I'm sure it has wireless too.

My computer is OSX Version 10. 9. 5.
