( no print at all after inserting new Black and Colour Cartridges)

Windows 7 Home Premium

go to START then Devices and printers where you will see your printer.
Right click go to PRINTER PREFERENCES then in the window that opens go to the tab that says MAINTENANCE.
Here you click the option to align the printer head.

did not get stuck as such - went through your instructions ok but paper

came out blank again EXCEPT that the rectangular colour boxes --

pink(red), blue and black were printed --- is this is a test by the machine following insertion of new colour cartridge - correct??

please advise further.

printer goes through normal sequence and paper feed is ok but no printing!!!

machine was operating ok until cartridges changed. -- problem must be connected.

can you advise nearest official Canon repairer to postcode WA14 3QP?

ok, you will need to have it replaced Bruce (the print head) to get the location, please call +44 (0)207(###) ###-#### ***** a repair can be organised.
