Hello!

Thank you for your question. I amCustomerand I look forward to helping you with your issue today.

Remove all the ink cartridges from the machine.
Then clean the contacts on the cartridges as well as inside the machine itself. Inside means the printhead where the cartrdige seats.
Do this with a small amount of warm water on a cotton swab until no ink comes off on the swab.
If any of the other cartridges are low, empty, leaking or bulging replace them.
Then turn off the machine and unplug it for 5 minutes.
Plug it back it and wait for the insert cartridges message.
Insert the cartridges and check to see if the problem is still there.

Cleaned contacts on cartridges and inside machine inself (or what I took them to be). Switched of printer for 5 mins. then on again and inserted cartridges after receiving message.

Then received message saying "new printhead detected so need to calibrate". Did this by pressing "start".

Paper came through, BUT NO PRINTING ON PAPER

I did everything suggested byCustomerto solve my
problem of getting no ink to paper when printing.
(blank pages only) namely to clean cartridges and
inside machine itself, then switch off printer for
5 mins. then back on again etc. Recalibrated, but
no printing. Help!

Hi, I’m Wes. I’ll be glad to help with the issue and answer any questions.

The most likely cause is that the print head is clogged. The print head can be unclogged by running the clean print head maintenance tool.

Follow these steps to run the maintenance tool:

Clean the printhead:

  • Press Home.

  • Press the down arrow to select Maintenance, then press OK.

  • Press the down arrow to select Clean Printhead, then press OK.

Hi,

It seems the the issueis with the printhead itself and you need to replace the printhead with a new one in order to get the issue resolved. However, if the printer is too old, or if the printer is a low cost one, it is better to get a new printer instead.

I understand that this answer may not be entirely to your liking, and I regret being the bearer of information that you really don’t want to hear. But it would be unfair to you and unprofessional of me were I to provide you with anything less than truthful and honest information.

Please know that not all issues can be fixed online; in those cases of a hardware failure, I’ll troubleshoot and diagnose the problem, and provide a practical recommendation for how to proceed.

If the issue persists, or you have any questions, please be back and let me know.
