Hi, what has happened to the previous chap? Been waiting for 15 mins then you pop up. Worried I have just paid £20 for nothing!! I have a laptop, acer Aspire V5 with Windows 8 (I believe, not sure on that).Just want advise on how to scan and send photos to son in China. What should I see on screen to indicate the laptop is connected to the printer. As you can see, I have no idea what to do!!

Can you print ok from the laptop? If you can then it should be connected already. If you can not print I need you to tell me if it is connected with a cable or WiFi.

Ok let me know what happens. You can press and hold CTRL then while holding it tap P to force the print option to come up.

Ok good,
  1. Right-click the Start button
  2. in the lower left corner of the screen, click Search, and then type Fax and Scan.
  3. Click Windows Fax and Scan in the results.
  4. Click New Scan, and then click Scan.

To save it click on file and then save as at the top.

Then open your email and create or reply to an email.

There should either be an attach or paper clip icon.

Click that and point it to where you saved the scan to add it to the message.

If this did not work, please come back and let me know what happened when you tried it by clicking on reply to expert so we can continue.
