I have a ip7250 printer and I have had a paper jam and removed

Customer Question

I have a ip7250 printer and I have had a paper jam and removed the envelope. However rhe paper jam signal continued. I then totally disconnected the printer and double checked that I there was still nothing in the printer and reconnected it - the error signal still shows.
Please can you tell me how this can be resolved?
Many thanks

Thank you for your question, my name is ***** ***** I look forward to assisting you.
Please note, a rating is only needed when we are finished.
As the first step, can you remove the power to the printer (so disconnect it from the power socket) then wait 10 minutes.
Then connect the power, turn it on and tell me if it now functions please.

Hello
I have now had it disconnected for longer than 10mins and reconnected it. The error still persists
Expert:  Richard replied 11 months ago.
ok, something can still then be stuck in the printer.
Can you open it up and look for any paper at all, even a very small part that's torn off.
Its best if you can vacuum out the printer to try to get everything out.
Then close it back up, turn it on and tell me if it then prints please.

Hello all vacuumed out - still got the problem.

and you see no paper at all, anywhere inside of it?
Customer: replied 11 months ago.
No

Thanks
On the printer for 8 seconds hold the button under the power one, the one with the arrow on it until the power button starts blinking.
Release and then tell me if you can then print please.

Carried this out and no change

Thanks
It is the paper sensor or internal memory that has faulted.
We have ruled out all other causes for this
I am really sorry about this and you are going to have to return the printer to have it replaced. It will be covered by the warranty if this has not expired, and the replacement will be done at no cost to you.
I am really sorry about this, and if you have problems, or would like any additional information or assistance, please do not hesitate to let me know.
And if you can take a second to rate my service, that would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
