Hello and thank you for choosing true black and white print will only use black ink. So is the Black ink well (cartridge) going empty? Is the ink wells (cartridges) new?If so, then we need to look at other solutions.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
the ink cartridges all all new as supplied with the printer.

Thank you for that information..So, what seems to be wrong when you try to print a Black and White image? Or Can you elaborate more about what is happening when you print? Are you printing a BandW photo? Or is it just a document that is not coming out in black text? What is happening?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
the prints seem to have an almost sepia effect which is most unsatisfactory as I am secretary to a Black & white print circle and must get true B/W prints.
Most disappointing from a new machine
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
the picture on my monitor appear B/W.

Hmm, that is interesting..Did you install the Software that came with the printer?.What software are you using to PRINT the picture FROM?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
yes i did download software from Canon bur there was not any disc supplied t o use with a mac system.there was a disc supplied but this could not be used with Mac.
I am using Photoshop to edit and am usually converting from colour to B/W..
Have tried various papers but this does not seem to have any result

So i think i may have found a solution..The Pixma 100s Software is an optional download that enables advanced functionality and helps you to get the most out of your product.
