Hi,I'm sorry about the issue. Did it print the test pages fine?Are you currently able to make a copy from the printer's glass (not printing from the computer)?Does this issue occur when printing a particular item, such as a (Word) document, a picture file, or a web page, etc.? Or does it affect everything?Is the printer connected to the computer with a USB cable? Or is the connection wireless?Do you have windows xp, vista, or 7, or 8, 10, or mac computer?Please reply at the box below. Thank you,

THanks. Yes everything printed fine.
I can make a copy.
I cannot print PDF, word, excel & I have not tried anything else.
Printer is connected Via USB. I did setup wireless LAN but have no idea how to print wirelessly so have not tried.
I am using MAC.

Please try:STEP1:- Turn off printer, then disconnect power cord from printer for a minute, then re-connect, then turn on.

STEP 2:Click on the Apple logo / menu, then click on System Preferences, then open Printers & Scanners (or Print & Scan, or Print & Fax.)Control-click anywhere in the list of devices on the left, then choose “Reset printing system”, and confirm Yes.; (or right-click on the printer area, then click on Reset printing system option, then click on Yes.)Make sure printer is powered on and the USB printer cable is connected securely from printer to computer.Click on the + (plus) button at bottom left, and it should detect your Canon printer, then add it.Then check printing.Please reply at the box below to continue troubleshooting. Thank you.

It does not let me print anything through USB (to answer that question) Its been happening since Friday 4 days.

The USB printer cable may be bad. Let's try wireless printing.- Disconnect USB printer cable from printer and computer.- Click on the Apple logo / menu, then click on System Preferences, then open Printers & Scanners (or Print & Scan, or Print & Fax, then click on the Canon printer, then click on the - (minus) button at bottom left and delete printer, then here is the wireless printing setup process:

On printer, you would go to Setup menu -> option Wireless LAN Setup -> Yes if prompted to Activate Wireless -> Easy Setup option -> select / connect to your wireless / network name.See attachment links:

Great thanks. I did all that and sent the document to the printer wirelessly.It still says 'please wait momentarily' constantly. Its been about a minute.... still going. :(Great I can use wireless now though, if we manage to fix the problem!

You're welcome. Now, make sure USB cable is not connected to printer and computer, then go to System Preferences, then open Printers & Scanners, and make sure to delete the Canon printer, if it's still there, then click on + (plus) button at bottom left, and it should detect your wireless Canon printer, then add it, then check printing.Please let me know. The only printer it is now offering is default one which is scanner only. So when I go to print it does not allow me to select the printer button. It is no longer detecting the printer... ?

OK so I just reset and restarted everything again and it now shows the two again. SO I am logged in now. I will test again

OK so it send the print job to the printer. The printer make a noise like its getting ready to print then the words 'please wait momentarily' appear and stay there constantly without printing or changing until I turn it off. It just freezes. Same thing it has been doing the whole time.

Please download and install the printer's driver file mcpd-mac-mg6100-11_7_1_0-ea17_2.dmg athttp://gdlp01.c-wss.com/gds/1/0100005661/02/mcpd-mac-mg6100-11_7_1_0-ea17_2.dmg, make sure it finish installation successfully, then reset printing system again, then add printer, then check printing.Thank you.

Delete the printer again, then click on + (plus) button, then click on Add printer..., then tell me exactly what it shows there. For example, does the Kind column shows Bonjour and/or canonijnetwork, etc.? Thank you.

That looks good.Does adding the Bonjour item only allow printing to work?Can you go to Mac App Store -> Update, and upgrade to El Capitan (OX 10.11), and check?Thank you.

OK doing so now.When I select Bonjour, the print button does not allow me to select it as I think it is just a scanner
