Customer Question

canon mg2450
I am trying t set it up with windows 10, I have downloaded all the drivers etc, and began installation. All goes fine until I get too the 'printer allignment' bit, the printer does nothing! it has been aligning printer heads for 20 minutes, no sound is coming from the printer indicating anything is going on, nothing. I have no lights flashing or anything on the printer, any idea what I am doing wrong?

Hi, thank you for contacting My name is Russell. I will do my best to provide the right answer to your question. I'm not sure that you are doing anything wrong, if you have been following the instructions for installing the printer that you have.If the printer fails to do automatic alignment, and comes out of its locked-up state eventually (within 2 hours... I wouldn't wait longer), then try the option(s) for doing a manual alignment. If it never comes out of its locked-up state within 2 hours, then try the whole process again if you have the patience, following all instructions in detail. And then if it fails identically again, you may assume you have a defective printer... *if* it is new, and hasn't worked before.(If it isn't new, let me know.)If the printer is new and is defective, pack it up in the packing material and return it to the store or vendor as defective, for a return-and-exchange (for another printer, hopefully working or one of equivalent value).
