Hi, Yesterday I installed a new Canon MG7750 and am having several problems compared to my old Canon printer.
First up:
The printer is connected via my wireless router. After some time the printer appears to go to sleep and if you then try to print something, it will not wake and human intervention is required to touch the on/off switch. Any solutions for this please?
Second:
I have a WiFi network around the house. There is a main router with an SSID of "Sky" and upstairs it's the same network via a bridge (if that's the correct term) but with an SSID of "Home". Everything in the house has always moved seamlessly between the two SSID's, including laptops connected to my previous Canon MP980, without any issues. Now I can't even see the new MG7750 printer on the network, let alone print!

Perhaps a bit to specific for this forum but here goes. I run an iMac OSX El Cap 10.11.4 with Parallels 10 running Windows 10 (11.31227) and although I have managed to "find" the Mac printer within Windows, it does not have any of the Canon interface or printer controls. I've tried installing the Windows version of the driver too, but I cannot even find the printer on the network that way, so I'm left with a fancy printer with no control over it when working in Windows. All of the Parallels printer sharing boxes are checked and I have also tried running Bonjour but it cannot find a Windows driver for the MG7750 or even MG7700 Series.
All help greatly appreciated.

Firstly, Shutdown timer is set other than [off]. You need to go in the Menu and turn this option to off. Factory default is set to 8 Hours I believe. Next issue I am working on it Sir or Madam.

OK, do you have the Canon IJ Printer Utility? If so, enter the Utility and go to > Power Settings in the Pop Up Menu. Then select Disable for Auto Power Off on Auto Power Listing. Researching the second issue...

From the HOME Network Correct? This is the one that you cannot see the Printer from?

Many thanks for your reply. I found that the setting you referred to is actually under Eco Settings on the printer's own control panel - "Auto off" set to x minutes and "Auto on" has to be set to On. It was set to Off by default - which is a bit daft!The second issue, about not finding the printer under the Home SSID appears to beloved and was likely connected to the first issue, i.e. but the time I tried to connected my other equipment, the printer had turned off.Only the third issue remains unresolved.Many thanks,Martin Dallison
