My new 6 (week old) Officejet pro 8610 will not accept new

my new 6 (week old) Officejet pro 8610
will not accept new cartridges.
it says the cartridges appear to be damaged replace them.
I have done this, on all 3 colours
but still get the same message

Hi Richard. Welcome to justanswer.

Pull out the power lead and then hold your finger on the power button (at the front) for 30 seconds then release. Now plugg it back in and press the power button as normal to switch it on.

This should reset the printer. See if it works or not.
