Print off from computer gives horizontal pink and grey (light black) bands on top of the original.

Have you had new cartridges? or Recent cartridges that have been constantly used - Not dried out :-/

I have purchased a full set of Epson cartridges, installed them, but no change.
For your information, the horizontal lines or bands are as follows:-
Bands - on - Background.
Pink White
Yellow Green
Pink Blue
Orange Grey
Yellow Yellow
Red/Pink Red
White BlackI have completed all the instructions,as suggested by printer.

Let's try a print head cleaning..

Press the tools button on your printer

Select Maintenance then Head Cleaning then OK

Press the Start button and allow the cleaning to complete

After the cleaning, try to print again and let me know the results.

How old is the printer?

The printer was purchased new on the 12th August, 2008 from P.C.World.

Unfortunately, the error that you are experiencing is an internal failure which would require repair/replacement. The bad news is that your printer is outside of warranty and it would cost more to repair the printer than to buy a new one.

Hiya,

Can I ask if you have had this model from new as I'm guessing it shipped with Windows XP

I'm fairly sure it can be upgraded to Windows 10 - I feel alot of people prefer this and may be slightly more "user friendly"
