do i need planning permission to remove metal cladding and reveal bricks

steel clad shed with house inside planing licence granted 5 years ago steel sheets are only screwed to inner bricks i think if treated as render or stick a brick it would be ok not in conservation area

Do you mean that you have built a house
inside a shed (which there is nothing stopping you doing, provided of course
that any connection to the drains and the footings and everything else etc
complies with building regulations) and now you want to remove the cladding
from the shed to reveal the house?

Presumably, you will want to use the house as
a house and not a shed in which case, you will need to apply for planning
permission for the change of use. The enforcement period for planning is 10
years. However, if you have used a house in secret for more than 10 years
(inside the shed) than the time runs from when it is no longer in secret.
