Customer: replied 4 years ago.

it appears I have now been charged twice to get this information would you kindly check as we have now been given to no.(NNN) NNN-NNNN600 and again with the last numbers 463.

To recap we were given notice to leave after 28 yrs our shop because the landlord wanted the premises empty for demolishion although no permissions have been agreed yet, we left as instructed but above the shop is a self contained flat we gave the tenants notice and issued termination for them to be out the same time as ourselves, The landlord was fully aware there was tenants above the shop. The tenant although we know are in contact with Bromley Council and received letters from them asking us about the demolishion and the end of the contract the tenant has also informed us that they have collected a deposit and looking for properties in the area locally we were under the impression they were leaving at the same time as us. The rent was paid to us and we have received the final payment.from Bromley Council who pay their rent. we have no reason to believe they would not leave. Now we have left the building as our contract with the landlord has expired the Landlord is telling us we are responisble for the rates and to evict the tenants even thoough we have no lease with the Landord which has expired can you pls tell us if this is correct.and we are responsible for the tenant. We hold a letter from the Landlord signed stating that he was satisfied and the conditions of our lease were fulfilled. and it is signed by him. He is now stating because we did not evict the tenants by said date we are still responsible for the council tax for the flat and shop. We were given 6 months notice and we gave what we were told to give the tenant 2 months notice even though the tenant was aware of the buildings situation and had been in contact with Bromley Housing, we were not to know they would not leave like we did. and fail to see that we should be responisble now .....Appreciate your help
