Alex Watts : Hello my name is Alex and I will help you with this. Please note that I am a working Solicitor and may be on and offline as I have to attend Court and meet with clients, even at weekends. Hi
Just so that I understand (your use of full stops - whilst understandable - makes it a little confusing)
You and your wife owned a property.
Your wife went bankrupt and the house was repossessed.
The house was sold for £300,000 - the mortgage was £350,000 and you beleive the property was in fact worth £600,000 - is that correct?

Has there ever been a completion statement form the sale?
Have you asked the Trustee in Bankruptcy for one?

Hi
Right
So the property was re-possessed in 2011 and you have not received any account of the Proceeds of Sale since then - either from the Trustee in Bankruptcy or the Mortgage Company.
Have you checked at the Land Registry to see when it was sold and for how much?

Expert:  Clare replied 4 years ago.
Hi
As a starting point you need to spend £3 and get a copy of the land Registry Documentation =
http://www.landregistry.gov.uk/public/online-services
Once you hav ethis it will tell you who owns the property and how much was paid for it
Once you have these details you can write to the Trustee in Bankruptcy and ask for a full accounting of the Sale and what happened to the proceeds - as well as an explanation of why the lower price was accepted.
If their explanation is not sufficient and you can prove that it was sold for undervalue then you may have a claim against the Trustee
I hope that this is of assistance - please ask if you need further details
