WE have been refused planning permission for a 6ft close boarded

Customer Question

WE have been refused planning permission for a 6ft close boarded fence in a rural area although a house further up the road was granted planning permission for a similar length and height. This planning was granted 18months ago. If we go to appeal can we site a precedent?
Many thanks
Jane

is this fence adjacent to the road?
Is the other fence adjacent to the road?
Has anyone objected to either fence?
Are you sure that the other fence has planning permission or did they just do it?
Are you near a corner of the road?
I am trying to ascertain whether it is the planning department has objected or highways or who?
please bear with me this evening and weekend because I will be off-line shortly and online spasmodically over the weekend
