my daughter is renting a property and wants to move, the landlord

Customer Question

my daughter is renting a property and wants to move, the landlord says as she signed a twelve month contract she has to stay/pay for the full twelve months. We have been told that as long as she gives one months notice in writing she can move. Is this true?
