Ask an Property Solicitor. Get an Answer ASAP.
Hi thanks for your question. My name is Tony.
You would need the consent of the mortgage companies to transfer ownership of the property if they have legal mortgages on them.
Then, once you have that consent, it's really easy to do. You would complete Form TR1 and transfer the names at the land registry. The lender would give you the forms to transfer the mortgage over. The lender would probably want a solicitor to act for them to put all this in place though to make sure they're properly secured.
It would cost, in legal fees, about £500 plus VAT to do.
Does this answer your question? If you would like me to add anything else, just let me know.
Can I just only transfer the property? Not mortgage?
Hi. No, you canon just transfer the properties and not the mortgage.
The lender will not allow you to do this.
