Resolved Question:

I objected to a land registry b141 alteration of register because I believed that
the land in question was still owned by me. It turned out that the piece of land had not been registered in name name originally or to anyone else. Although my solicitor wrote to me telling me otherwise. LR then completed the application in favour of the other party. Now the current owners are saying that because I objected to the b141, the buyer has pulled out and they are sueing me for loss of sale. Is this possible?

Alex Watts :

Hello my name is ***** ***** I will help you with this. Please note that I am a working Solicitor and may be on and offline as I have to attend Court and meet with clients, even at weekends. As such you may not get an instant response when you reply as this is not an ‘on demand’ live service, but rest assured I will be giving your question my immediate attention upon return. There is no need to wait here, you will get an email when I reply.

Alex Watts :

No

Alex Watts :

If you object to an entry, that is your right

Alex Watts :

The person losing the sale has no right to sue you

Alex Watts :

You are perfectly entitled to object to an entry

Alex Watts :

Can I clarify anything for you about this today please?
