What rights do the owner have when putting up Private Property

Customer Question

What rights do the owner have when putting up Private Property signs at your home in the country?

Hi,

Thank you for your question and welcome.

My name is AJ and I will assist you.

In principle as it is private property you are free to put up on your land a sign that says "Private Property".

The only issue to consider is if you live in a conservation area or somewhere that has planning rules against putting up signage. That is something you have to check with the Council.

Can I be of any further assistance?

Kind regards

AJ
